SMART CAR SPOTTED AGAIN, RAN TO INTERCEPT IT AND SAW SOME OF ITS LICENCE NUMBER PLATE

Yesterday evening at about 5 50 pm, I crossed the northern bridge into Alcazar Park but did not go further because it was already very dark and I saw the black Smart car again

In Greece, there is no long dusk like in northern Europe, It gets dark very quickly.

Larisa is a low crime area.

If there is any crime , then it occurs in place likes the isolated parts of the park at night time.

As I walked back across the bridge to leave the park, I saw a single red light flash underneath the bridge heading to the centre of the park and town. along the asphalt part.

At first, I thought it was a bicycle or a motorbike. But then I realized it was the black  Smart car with one functioning tail light....

I watched it until it disappeard behind the trees in the darkness.

The map shows the car s route in red and my route in blue with the interception point at the blue star close to the football stadium.

I considered my options. Just leave? Walk back across the bridge?

I could predict its route and how quickly it would do its circuit.

I decided to intercept it when it emerged at the narrow exit or entrance to the park and try to see its licence plate number

I had to spring part of about 100 metres because the car came very quickly up the parallel sandy track after passing under the northern bridge.

It had both headlights on.

I just made it to the main street where there is good street lighting , the stadium , houses and a kiosk when the car came up the incline and had to pause directly in front of me .

I saw some of the number plate but it was hard to be sure as the headlights were shining in my eyes and it immediately turned to go onto the main street. I think I saw the numbers 8248 and the letter P somehwere in the front part.

Greek license plates have 3 letters followed by 4 numbers.

"Greek vehicle registration plates are composed of three letters and four digits per plate (e.g. ΑΑΑ–1000 ) printed in black on a white background. The letters represent the district (prefecture) that issues the plates while the numbers range from 1000 to 9999."

P is a letter for the Larisa area.

I do not have a Smartphone to take a pic.

You would think they would have stopped for a few seconds and perhaps rolled down thewindow and asked if there was something wrong with their car when they saw me quasi in front of them looking at their license plates.

But not. They seemed to be unable to get away quickly enough.

This time, I could again see the passengers. It was the same woman and man as I saw the first time.

The 30 ish woman was sitting in the seat closest to me clutching the same bag as before on her lap.

But the man was sitting on the other side driving....? Had the side of the steering wheel been swtitched out?

Interestingly, the car sped up towards the motorway ring road around Larisa and did not enter the small area of residential housing.

That raises the question of why did the car go into the park and do a circuit at night time when it could more easily have just followed the ring road straight into the centre and turned at the roud about if it collected someone.
