Brtish armed forces may be even lower on munitions than the US and a drone strike on an RAF base in Cyprus will surely unsettle White Hall as a harbinger of things to come.
Epstein s tool Keir Starmer should not be surprised when hypersonic missiles seek out Number 10 now he has unilaterally dragged the UK into a war without a vote in parliament.

This just highlights the shocking weakness of our armed forces and the fact that we are utterly defenceless against aerial attack. This is an RAF base but it was not able to down a single slow drone. We see the Israelis coping with swarms of missiles and drones with very few that get through. If an enemy, perhaps Russia, were to attack Britain directly with missiles, we have nothing to stop them. We need to invest immediately in defence. We need to be prepared to defend ourselves.

UAE has shot down over 500 drones in the last 2 days. I agree - it’s a disgrace our government and military was not on “full alert” given the warningsEdited

Our military was on full alert. By all accounts Typhoons were scrambled in response.
But Akrotiri has the whole of about 8 Typhoons, some of which will inevitably be undergoing maintenance.
Our long range air defence systems, Sky Sabre and Sea Viper (Type 45) - Sky Sabre cannot realistically engage ballistic missile targets, and even so, so few units exist that only Royal Artillery air defence units have them. Type 45s, we should've had 12, but in the end thanks to Labour cutting the order in the 2000s, we ended up with 6. One has been sailing recently, and by the sounds a second could put to sea at short notice in an emergency. Two are in deep refit and a third is still recovering from mothball and store robbing.
This is what happens when you do not invest in Defence properly. The military's readiness had nothing to do with it. 8 Typhoons may well miss a drone, either because they can't/didn't detect it because it was flying low and slow and doesn't have a heat signature in the way a fast moving missile does.
