Fore sure, the collapse in demand for Teslas is not just because of the damage he has done to the brand but also because of the damge he has done to the demand side of the US economy, likely to help Trump, and his backers Soros and Thiel incude the recession he wants to bring down inflation and get lower interest rates to ensure the massive repayments to the private bankers on federal debt remain serviceable.
But a recession just when businesses, consumers, the government cannot afford the interest on record debt is very bad news for Treasuries as investors realize the USA cannot spend every tax dollar on interest or the military and leave the American people and businesses with bread crumbs and not collapse into a banana republic.
