China strengthens trade ties with Latin America to replace American markets Colombia pivots to China ahead of the last day of stalling tariff talks between Bessent and Chinese officials in Switzerland

US STOCK MARKET COULD COLLAPSE BY UP TO 80% LIKE THE DOT COM BUBBLE AS INVESTORS DIGEST THE STARK ECONOMIC FACTS OF TRUMP S DISASTROUS TARIFF WAR WITH CHINA

CHINA MAY DECIDE IT PREFERS TO SELL ITS 100S OF BILLIONS OF PRODUCTS TO OTHER MARKETS THAN TO THE USA LEADING TO EMPTY SHELVES, INFLATION AND A POSSIBLE COLLAPSE OF THE STOCK MARKET AS IT BECOMES CLEAR HOW DEINDUSTRIALIZED THE US HAS BECOME

WEAK ECONOMY IS UNABLE TO SUSTAIN MASSIVE FED GOV DEBTS AND PENTAGON SPENDING OR HIGH STOCK MARKET PRICES

Colombia's president has said he intends to sign an accord to join Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative during a summit in Beijing focused on strengthening trade ties between China and Latin American and Carribbean States.

President Xi is to speak at the opening ceremony of the meeting  of CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum on May 13, showing the high priority which China gives to finding new markets  in Larin America for exports otherwise destrined for the USA following Trump s tariff blitz.

The growing trade cooperation between China and Latin American countries will come as a blow to Trump and his Soros crony, Scott Bessent, who appear to have hoped that the threat of tariffs could be used to pressure China s trading partners to drop ties in favour  of the US and to isolate China.

The economic reality remains that the already huge and continuously growing Chinese market presents more opportunities for trade than the collapsing US economy, hollowed out by private central bank money, debt and interest.

China s focus on finding new markets suggests the USA will be disappointed by talks between Scott Bessent and his Chinese counterpart set to take place again today in Switzerland.

However, given the fragile state of the overpriced US stock market buoyed up by hype and bluff, Trump and Bessent maytryto do their best to downplay any failure.

Crucial will be to see if Chinese exports to the USA resume soon or not and at what level  or whether shelves will empty and inflation will rise in the USA, making Trump, as the intiator of this crazy, chaotic trade war,  even more unpopular with his voters than already he is.

Geopolitically, the Swiss summit could mark a historical shift when the economic power of China is recognized as much grreater than the USA s power by the global community.

Whether the USA can manage to maintain a seat at the table in the new multi polar world or becomes a footstool for the BRICS depends, it seems, on whether the Americans can manage to remove Trump and his criminal gang, put Soros, Gates, Biden and co on trial, and restore some semblance of an honest goverrment soon.

Colombia’s move to join the Beijing-led Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) marks a significant shift in the strategic competition between China and the United States in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). At a moment when the U.S. is seeking to counter China’s influence in the region, Bogotá’s decision should not go unnoticed and carries broader implications for Colombia and the region.

Colombia is one of the most traditional U.S. allies in LAC. For example, it is the only country in the region that is a NATO global partner. The U.S. is Colombia’s largest trading partner, a relationship expanded by a Trade Promotion Agreement currently in force. It also provided significant aid to the Colombian government in their armed conflict with guerrillas and drug cartels, the so-called “war on drugs.” All of this is to say, Colombia has remained closely aligned with the U.S. in the economic, strategic, and security realms throughout the years.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva arrived in China late on Saturday evening for a state visit as Beijing spoke out against “bullying” of Latin America and unilateral sanctions against countries in the region.

After landing in Beijing, Lula said on social media that “we will be establishing new partnerships and signing cooperation agreements in multiple areas”.

“This is another major step in our friendly and strategically close relationship with China, Brazil’s largest trading partner since 2009,” he said of the five-day visit, during which a gathering of Latin American leaders will be held in Beijing.

China’s imports of Brazilian agriculture products, including soybeans, rose significantly in April. Beijing is expected to reduce its reliance on US imports amid an escalating trade war with US President Donald Trump.

The two countries are also in talks over a series of key infrastructure projects, including a railway project linking Brazil to a megaport in Chancay, Peru.

China is seeking to improve ties with Latin American countries as it faces off against the US over trade. Top negotiators from the US and China are meeting in Geneva, Switzerland this weekend to discuss tariffs for the first time, but no breakthroughs are expected.

Beijing announced on Sunday that President Xi Jinping would host representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean on Tuesday, according to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lula will also attend the event, according to CGTN.

Xi will speak at the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) Forum in Beijing.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi will chair the meeting with counterparts from Celac – a 33-nation bloc whose members include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
