On the one hand, Trump is extending the sanctions waiver on Russian oil to keep oil prices down but on the other he is continuing the naval blockade of Hormuz, sure to keep prices sky high while not bringing Iran to its knees or effecting regime change any more than the bombing campaign did.

I believe Trump has gone literally mad encouraged by his yes men, including JD Vance,and a propaganda media.
None of his Iran decisions add up or seem to be based in real world facts, threatening the US and West more than Iran, Russia or China in the longer term.
