A lawyer, Stelios Sourlas, close to the family of Vasilis Kalogirou, the son of a top Larisa Appeals prosecutor, has said that all the evidence points to kidnapping and murder, has ruled out suicide.

He may have died from hunger, thirst and cold in his place of imprisonment, However, a rare neck bone fracture suggests he was strangled by others. Common sense says a person cannot break their own neck and remove all the evidence of suicide such as a rope etc afterwards.
