George Papadopoulos, of Greek descent and very close to President Trump in the USA, openly criticizes the Greek government in an X post, making comments that unfortunately reflect the harsh reality.
In his X post, George Papadopoulos argues:
“The current Greek leadership failed to seize the moment. Greece could have played a key role as an interlocutor between the USA and Russia, as an Orthodox country and one with historical ties to both nations, much like the relationship between Arab nations and Israel. Instead, it chose to align with NATO. Meanwhile, Greece’s historical rival, Turkey, took on the role of mediator and expanded its influence. Domestically, the war against the Church has been extremely unpopular, as has the belligerent support for Ukraine. Greece’s future lies in upholding the Orthodox faith, serving as a mediator between East and West as it historically has, and acting as a pillar of stability in an otherwise unstable region. For this to happen, there is only one solution.”
Papadopoulos Suggests a Government Change in Greece
It is clear that significant changes are coming to Greece. We have analyzed that both superpowers, the USA and Russia, consider the Mitsotakis government unfriendly. For the Americans, Mitsotakis sided with the Democrats, making him an enemy of the Republicans, while for the Russians, the Greek government’s stance on the Ukraine issue has been toxically hostile. Mitsotakis is clearly in the crosshairs of two superpowers and belongs to the group of toxic politicians.
