Italian scientists used an X-ray method to analyze the Shroud of Turin. The results show that the cloth was made about 2000 years ago, which corresponds to the time of Jesus. It has pollen and limestone from Jerusalem.
The body bears all the marks of a crucifiction. The image is not made by paint or dyes.
It has been found to have been made by a burst of radiation which alters atomic structures.
But how can a dead body emanate a burst of radiation and imprint a 3D image on a cloth?
And why should a body expend so much energy? For what purpose?
The laws of the conservation of energy have been suspended.

If Christ lived, died and was resurrected as the Gospels describe, then we must take his teaching about life and death seriously, about the purpose of our lives on earth and the after life.
It also puts a spot light on the Book of Revelation.
People may ask How come if Jesis Christ is a fact, our modern age has missed it? How come in the 20th and 21st centuries with all our science, knowledge and technology, we have missed the basic and fundamental fact that Jesus Christ is our Creator?
The answer may be that we do not live in a scientific, rational age. We live in a technologucal age.
Technologies like computer technology, nuclear technology are the expression of applied science.
The technologies which dominate our lives are not the expression of science, philosophy and the quest for knowledge.
Real science, philossophy and knowledge has actually almost disappeared from our modern world along with Jesus Christ.
Ultilitarianism, commercialism, media, subjectivism, solipsism have replaced the search for objective truth.
Now in 2025, through the providence of God, the reality of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection can no longer be denied by anyone using the scientific method and reason to examine the extraordinary facts of the Shroud of Turin and the creation of its image.

The image seems to be caused by light energy.
In 2010, scientists successfully reproduced the unique yellow coloration found on the Shroud by firing a burst of “vacuum ultraviolet radiation” through an excimer laser at a linen fabric. From their results, they calculated that producing the image on the Shroud would require a burst of radiation incredibly brief (less than one forty-billionth of a second) and incredibly intense (6-8 billion watts). This would be equivalent to focusing one million search lights @ 10,000 watts on a spot roughly 3.5′ x 14′. In our entire world today, we do not currently have enough of this type of laser power to produce the image on the shroud.
The particle radiation theory addresses several image enigmas. These enigmas include: a) the 3D nature of the image; b) that only the top of the most superficial fibers of the threads are encoded; c) that individual fibers are encoded; d) that fibers are colored 360 degrees around the circumference; e) that only outer layers of individually encoded fibers are colored yellow; f) the image’s stability during exposure to water and heat; g) the image’s insolubility to acids, redox, and solvents; h) that the image is non-diffuse with sharp boundaries. There are many more enigmas requiring ultraviolet radiation, and/or low temperature spontaneous particle radiation, or some other nuclear event, and necessitating the mechanical transparency of the body.
