A joint research by Chinese scientists has recently found that the oral nucleoside drug VV116, approved for the treatment of COVID-19, shows significant antiviral activity against Nipah virus, bringing new hope for the prevention and treatment of this emerging fatal infectious disease, according to a statement released on Monday by the Wuhan Institute of Virology under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

In 2014, Dr Gorbee Logan, a doctor in rural Liberia used a class of drugs called nucleocide analog developed to treat HIV drug to succesfully treat Ebola.
Dr. Gorbee Logan has given the drug, lamivudine, to 15 Ebola patients, and all but two survived. That’s about a 13% mortality rate.
Across West Africa, the virus has killed 70% of its victims.
Lamivudine is a nucleocide analog, and other drugs in this class are being studied to treat Ebola.

Nipah appears to be like HIV and Ebola and covid, itself like HIV, and so it is quite possible that repurposed covid drugs can treat Nipah.
