The Pentagon has stopped shipments of Patriot air defence systems, Hellfire missiles and other precision weapons to Ukraine after concern that US stockpiles are running too low.
The decision comes as Russia has stepped up its missile and drone attacks on Kiev and other targets in the Ukraine, raising the spectre of a swift defeat of the Zelensky regime and his NATO allies.
It is not clear if the shipments of missiles will continue to Israel.
Israel s Iron Dome and air defense missiles rely heavily on US weapons.
In addition to a lack of missiles, the US, Israel and NATO are facing a technological challenge in outdated weapons which cannot stop hypersonic missiles and other new weapons being developed by the Russians, Iranians and Chinese.

The Pentagon has halted shipments of some air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine due to worries that U.S. weapons stockpiles have fallen too low.
The decision was driven by the Pentagon’s policy chief, Elbridge Colby, and was made after a review of Pentagon munitions stockpiles, leading to concerns that the total number of artillery rounds, air defense missiles and precision munitions was sinking, according to three people familiar with the issue.

Included, among the items being pulled back are missiles for Patriot air defense systems, precision artillery rounds, Hellfire and other missiles that Ukraine launches from its F-16 fighters and drones.
The losses will surely be felt on the ground as Ukraine continues to beat back fresh assaults by Russian forces.

Productivity gains must be measured in time and quality. A goal has to be reached which ultimately has to be measured in actionable intelligence.
If AI saves ttime in writing, thinking at the expense of quality, that is not a productivity gain.
Worse, AI hallucinates and so introduces inefficiencies, delusions, errors cancelling productivity.
So, why does Trump s propaganda arm promote AI for writing and critical thinking?
Is it because precisely that is what Trump and his oligarchs want to stop? Stop by forcing people to use AI?
The aggregate result of 100s of millions of people using AI instead of their own intelligence to generate terrabytes of delusion for the US economy and future will be a disaster on a new scale.
