The lessons of the stand down of Venezuela s defences are several but a key one must be to root out corruption in defence forces

Corruption among key people in Venezuela s defence forces almost certainly was the reason why the defence systems failed to activate because it is clear the Venezuela want to fight for their sovereignty.
The CIA and intel agencies are the ones who spied on the defence forces and identified people who were easy to bribe or blackmail to sabotage weapons both in China and in Venezuela.
"The analyst told The Epoch Times that the most damaging takeaway for China isn’t the failure of a single piece of equipment—it’s what the operation suggested about deeper weaknesses: corruption in China’s defense industry and lack of reliability of the technology and command structure meant to tie those systems together."

For Trump and his circle to draw the conclusion that Chinese weapons systems have failed is a big error.
We have seen enough of China s weapons systems in Russia, its fighter jets in Pakistan shooting down Rafaele jets and F 16s, to know the Chinese are serious about their arms industries.
There is also a lesson here for Iran and that is to do a thorough check of all its weapons systems including the fuel.
