Putin has said he wis willing to see Russia s frozen assets used to rebuild the Ukraine after a peace deal is struck.
If the past is anything to go by, a significant proportion of these frozen assets will end up in the bank accounts of Western politicians, envoys and CEOs who see war and peace as opportunities for personal enrichment.
Trump put the first 500 million dollars earned from seized Venezuela oil in an offshore bank account out of reach of Congressional oversight.
The bank account in Qatar is controlled by a mega donor of Trump. It is not clear if Trump will get a part of the cash or who will. What is clear is that the US Treasury is not going to get the proceeds to offset the billions the Venezuela military escapade cost, incresing US s debt.
