The Trump State Department on Friday halted spending on almost all foreign aid grants for 90 days, which also appears to apply to funding for military assistance to Ukraine, Politico reports.

By ending all aide to Ukraine, Trump has applied maximum pressure to Zelensky and his corrupt cronies, who appear to be major beneficiaries of the vast, uncontrolled flows of aide, to make a peace deal this weekend.

As long as a large part of the 10s of billions in aide keeps flowing into the pockets of the corrupt Zelensky regime, the clique have no incentive to make a peace deal. As soon as the aide stops, their minds will be focus on peace.

Trump can tell Zelensky he either signs the deal he and Putin agree on or he faces their no place to hide.

If he goes along with it, Zelensky can go to exile in London, where most of the British establishment puppets in the Ukraine will likely seek sanctuary.

The Russians could offer Trump half of any of their 300 billion in frozen assets as a gesture of good will to help score a political win win with his base.

The Russians could also offer the other half to rebuild the Ukraine.

Realistic peace deal wound also be for the ethnic Russian speaking areas to return to Russia and the rest of the Ukraine to be demilitarized in return for major economic and trade aide from both sides ensuring that the Ukraine never again falls into the sphere of influence of either the West or Russia.

Developing the Ukraine as a joint hub for trade  by joint investments will help secure American and Russian prsoperity as well as a lasting peace in the region.

In such a scenario, an emphasis would have to be placed on developing a strong judiciary to ensure joint  investment and tade agreements are enforceable by courts and penalties can be imposed on parties who renege.

Not realistic would be vast extra costs for 100s of thousands of NATO or UN peacekeppers in the Ukraine, which could trigger a rearmaments race and a new conflict.

Trump and Putin could seal a deal this weekend and end a war.

The war as Trump says, has cost millions of lives, especially the lives of the young people, and caused immense destruction and for no objective, no gain for the USA or the Ukraine. It has backfired spectacularly by creating a new super bloc in Russia and China, NK and Iran.
