Farmer s leaders represent the farmers.
To attack the farmer protest leaders is to attack the farmers themselves who they speak for.

While Mitsotakis can find 25 billion euros to pay for weapons for a war with Russia no one in Greece wants,

he cannot find enough money to keep the farmers in business.
That is because he does not want to keep the Greek farmers in business.
Polls show the majority of Greeks support the farmers and want them to get more money so they can continue to farm.
It is Mitsotakis who is inflicting huge damage on Greek society by refusing to meet their reasonable demands and so perpetuaing the stand off.
He cannot seriously expect farmers to accept being bankrupted in their tens of thousands, left to starve.
These are the voters, the tax payers, the citizens with rights.
For farmers to meet him just for Mitsotakis to claim he is open to dialogue while he refuses to address the fact they are going bacnkrupt under his policies, is pointless.
As for Mitsotakis plan to target the leaders of the farmers protests it is not new.
Persecution of opposition is part of a system of despotic control reaching back to King Otto and the Rothschilds.
