A shameless, brazen refusal by Kimberly Cheatle to supply answers to the House to basic questions about the security failures allowing Trump to be shot at in an attack on democracy and the rights of all Americans to fair and free elections.

The Russians and Chinese would put Cheatle on death row. That s how they would deal with any security chief who allowed Putin or Xi to be nearly assassinated. And for good reason. It would make other grey little civil servants think twice before they accept a bribe or cash or favours in return for serious crimes.
Justice and punishment is not just about revenge or compensation for the victims. It is also about deterrence. People plotting similar crimes in the future are deterred when they see there is a real risk of their being punished.
Look how the Chinese dealt with Billionaire Jack Ma for rigging markets and unfair business practises. They would not hesitate to put Larry Fink behind bars if his company was linked to an assassination attempt of Putin or Xi and seizing all Blackrocks assets and putting them under gov administration.
If Trump is very merciful, he can take Cheatle aside and offer her a life time exile on a guarded island off Alaska in return for her cooperation. She can have a nice life contemplating ice, endless snow and polar bears from inside a cosy cabin with a fire, husky dogs and books, magazines and DVDs rather than a short life ended by a short walk to the executioners bloc if she cooperates with the investigation.
