NATO is to set up a command and control centre in Kiev to run the war directly in preparation for the withdrawal of US and French support following elections.

The notion, NATO, an empty shell drained of all political and military support from the US and France due to historical elections, can take control of the Ukraine and avert defeat is delusional but that seems to be the plan as Zelensky faces domestic turmoil, including a coup attempt according to media.

The plan comes as Russia's defense ministry (MoD) said its forces had taken out nine Ukrainian fighter jets on Tuesday over a 24 hour period in an ominous sign for F16 fighter jets. If hundreds of these fighters, the last thin line of Western air defence, are destroyed in the Ukraine or in bases in Poland and Romania that will spell the end of NATO.
First introduced in 1978, the nearly 50 year old F 16s require unusually long runways which have to be kept free of all stones and debris to operate, making them easy targets for Russian drones, hypersonic missiles and even tactical nuclear bombs, which Col Doug MacGregor believes Russia may use on Polish and Romanian airbases if they host the nuclear capable F16 jets.

Without air cover, ground troops face obliteration as is happening in the Ukraine right now. Even if NATO sends in 100s of thousands of troops and millions of conscripts, they will be no match for Russian Fab 3000 bombs and other missiles.
Zelensky would be advised to sign a ceasefire deal immediately with the Russians before his regime collapses.
Very unpopular in the US, especially among Republicans, Zelensky cannot rely on any kind of help from the US when Trump comes in. Republicans won t allow Trump to give more aide to the failing regime under any circumstances.

The second round of the elections result may seal his defeat if the French protest voters rally around the RN and also scrutinize postal and 2 million or so proxy votes expected for potential manipulation.

NATO member states have decided to send a special envoy to Kiev, which will expand the civilian presence of the Western defense alliance in Ukraine , a spokesman for the alliance confirmed to DPA, BTA reported.
The senior official will be tasked with coordinating the alliance's political and practical support on the ground as Ukraine continues to defend itself against a large-scale Russian invasion. The decision came ahead of a NATO summit in Washington, scheduled for July 9-11, at which leaders are expected to formally adopt a plan that would see the alliance for the first time coordinate military aid to Ukraine under an official mission called Support for NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine - NSATU).
For now, it is not clear who will be appointed to the new post in Kyiv. Further details will be revealed after his official selection, the spokesman said, confirming plans reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Until now, NATO member states have coordinated military aid to Kiev not through the Alliance itself, but through the Washington-led Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine. NATO's position is that it is not a party to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, DPA notes. But the contact group's dependence on US coordination has prompted European allies to express concern that it could fall apart if November's presidential election returns Donald Trump to the White House, as they question his willingness to back Ukraine's war effort. The headquarters of NSATU will be in the German city of Wiesbaden, located in the central province of Hesse.
