Under the new amendment signed on Monday, Russian courts are required to recognize criminal rulings issued by foreign courts if Russia was a party to the proceedings.

The amendment is primarily designed to allow Russian courts to reject politicial rulings also related to the Ukraine.

Likewise, they do not need to uphold decisions by international judicial bodies whose jurisdiction is not based on a treaty Russia has joined or a United Nations Security Council resolution.
But it has other applications....
If Russia recognizes say a Greek ruling convicting Mitsotakis, Soros, Trump, Kushner of serious crimes against Greece and Russia because it was a party to the proceedings, it can ask for the guilty to be extradited to Russia....
