After video and other forensic evidence has proven definitively that an illegal cargo of flammable liquid killed most of the victims of the Tempi train collision in a fire ball, and all Greece and even Europe knows Mitsotakis has lied over and over again, even Germany s TAZ has said it is better for him to resign than to continue the embarrasing pantomine of lying to the public day in, day out.
Incidentally, the 3.5 tons of flammable liquid estimated by Belgian researchers to have caused the fireball is roughtly the same as the 25,000 litres of xylene bought by a mysterious buyer 13 days before the crash.
Who would be surprised if it turns out Mitsotakis office or someone implicated in the Tempi train collison bought the xylene? Why else go such lengths to hide the paper trail of the 25,000 litres and documentation?
It is clear Mitsotakis will not resign. As the son of a PM, and a family which has seized power over much of Greece, he appears to have a monarchy or feudal lord complex. He seems to think he is untouchable. His network will always protect him.
He does not seem to understand politics. He does not seem to understand he the PM of a democracy and accountable before the people and the law.
The way he lies on TV shows he has no political nous. His approach is to threaten, intimidate and bully even the TV anchor in front of the live cameras when the anchor asks him to explain how he could continiously categorically deny something that turned out to be true.
Yes, Mitsotakis acts on live TV like the scion of a feudal lord who is irriatd that anyone should hold him to account for his lies in the mass murder of a mere 57 people. and his corruption of justice.
His party base must force him and his network superimposed on the top out of office before the people do.
Politics in a democracy like Grece is very simple.
The citizens decide ultimately who gets to rule them. They do not want serious criminals. They do not consent to their elected officials misusing their office to commit crimes of mass murder agaisnt them and then covering up that mass murder using officials they pay with their tax money. They do not consent to a dictatorship, a monarchy or a feudal lord in office.
Without the consent of the people, the public, especially in 2025 after the covid jab harm scandal, no politician can continue in office for long.
Politics is back. Scrutiny is back. Accountability is back.
