Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to a criminal fraud conspiracy charge after the US found the company violated a deal to improve safety after 737 Max plane crashes that killed 346 passengers and crew.
Boeing will pay a criminal fine of $243.6 million.
By
pleading guilty, Boeing will avoid the spectacle of a criminal trial and scrutiny of executive decisions about safety.
In 2021, prosecutors charged Boeing with one count of conspiracy to defraud regulators, alleging it had deceived the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about its MCAS flight control system, which was implicated in both crashes.
Boeing's decision to plead guilty means the company has a criminal record and may be excluded from bidding for US government contracts..
Boeing executives seem to have obtained good legal advice. When trials are inevitable, when criminal prosecutions of individuals are on the cards, when billion dollar fines are hanging over Boeing, its better for the company to reduce its legal exposure and plead guilty.
However, a judge may still compel trials,the production of records and Boeing executives could still face criminal prosecution for manslaughter and a range of other crimes.
American interests are not served by criminal corporations who kill people for profit.
Standards have to be enforced. The public has to be protected.
We have to compare the realism of Boeing executives with the delusional, fantastical approach of Pfizer, Albert Bourla,Bill Gates, Warren and the Bidens now caught killing and making sick millions of Americans with covid jabs, who keep on with their crimes as if nothing has happened, ensuring their maximum liability.
That should include trillions in fines.
That may well include the death penalty for the Gates,Buffett, Biden and Soros family members as well as pharma exects and hundreds of their associates depending on which state puts them on trial first.
